Our Halkidiki olives pronounced (Hal-KEE-dah-kee) are produced in the peninsula Halkidiki in Northern Greece, the birthplace of the philosopher Aristotle , a land with a unique climate and soil characteristics.. They are hand-harvested from mid to late September while they are still green. They can be described as having a meaty texture with a bold, fruity, briny, pleasantly sour and even peppery flavour.
They are cured in large fermentation tanks and in brine solution for a period of approximately six months.
Halkidiki olives offer many health benefits. They are rich in Vitamin E iron, dietary fibers, copper, monounsaturated fats, polyphenols (antioxidants).
